Blog Tea Party

Welcome to my contribution to the Blog Tea Party hosted by Jan of Jan & Tom's Place, a new blogging tea friend. I set up an Afternoon Tea For Two for my daughter and me. I brewed a pot of our favorite, English Afternoon Tea and served dainty little cakes.

The tea cozy is my latest creation--just finished it yesterday afternoon. I wasn't completely satisfied with the look of my previous effort over the weekend and made a revision or two...

I love using tea cups from my collection. These are two of my favorites. The sugar and creamer are crystal from my grandmother. They add such an elegant touch!

Be sure to hop over to Jan & Tom's blog to see who else is participating!

Good morning, Karen. How very nice to meet you and thank you for coming to my tea party. I have so much enjoyed myself at yours. First of all, your blog is just beautiful! I love those precious little tea cozies you make! You're so creative! I sew and do needlework too and love to drink tea - hot or iced! Those little tea cakes you made are devine. Yummy, wonder what they were inside - chocolate, vanilla, maybe strawberry? Your grandmother's crystal is so beautiful. My aunt who passed away years ago left me her Fostoria and I'm so proud of it. Again it's so nice to meet you and I'll be back to see you and hope you'll come back to see me!
Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)

Hi Karen,
I loved your tea party and absolutely love your tea cozies. I own an antique shop and sell alot of tea cups and tea pots and I think those cozies would look great in my shop.
