Show and Tell Monday at Make Mine Pink

Can it be Monday again already? Where did my weekend go? But, no matter, it's time for Show and Tell...
This weekend, I pulled out some fabric that I had purchased a couple of months ago. It was a bit different from the fabrics I usually buy, but I fell in love with the robin's egg blue background! I bought a coordinating fabric and set both pieces aside until inspiration hit. I knew it would be used in one of my Tea Cup Totes, but didn't know how I would trim it. I ended up making 2--each a bit different. Which one is your favorite?

Springtime Toile #1

Springtime Toile #2

I usually try to buy fabrics that will easily coordinate with china patterns. I didn't have anything in my tea cup collection to match for photographing, so I used a solid white porcelain tea cup and saucer. I have seen brown transferware in a toile pattern that would be lovely. Hmmmm...

These Tea Cup Totes will be listed for sale later today on my website. Each is OOAK.

Very pretty, love robin's egg blue. If I have to choose one, I would have to say Toile 2 because I like the rose and for some reason it looks more classic to me.

Karen,

You have indeed made a right purchase. The Robbin Blue egg colour is so attractive, and the white porcelain cup matches so well! Great job!

That is so pretty Karen. And yes, brown transfer ware would be gorgeous with that tote but so is the white. My niece's wedding was brown and blue. Come visit my blog and see Roxie and me at the tea cafe. :) Lynn
