Gracious Hospital-i-Tea Blog-A-Thon Week 5

This is week 5 of Gracious Hospital-i-Tea's Tea Blog-a-Thon. The topic this week is Dressed-to-a-Tea. We are supposed to talk about our favorite outfit to wear to tea or a fantasy tea outfit.

I usually wear a tiered broomstick skirt with a lace blouse. I love long full skirts--they are so romantic. In fact, that is my attire for most outings... My 15-yr. old daughter rolls her eyes when I go shopping because I always come home with another lacey blouse to wear with the skirts I make.
This is a photo of me in my favorite lace skirt, lace-trimmed blouse and a linen jacket.

But, if I could have any outfit to wear to tea it would be one of these:

I was privileged to attend the Victoria Bliss Event in Dallas last October and one of the speakers was a collector and seller of antique clothing. These gowns were some that he brought to illustrate the differences in period dresses. I would love to attend a vintage dress tea and be able to borrow one of these gowns!

Karen, you look beautiful in your lace skirt and blouse and pretty linen jacket. You really are dressed to a 'tea' --- in classic romantic style. Let your daughter roll her eyes! Some day she will grow up to be JUST LIKE you! :)

I love your Victoria Bliss costumes as well -- very beautiful!

Your outfit is very becoming and feminine. I'd certainly enjoy being able to wear one of those Victorian dresses, but the waistline would be a problem. ;>

Wow - all of those outfits are gorgeous - inclduing your lace skirt and shirt!

I think the Victorian outfits would be lovely to wear, tho I doubt I'd like the corset. :-)

Thank you for your comments on my blog. We almost share the same daily habits. I too have 2 cups of coffee before switching to tea. The only difference is that I am a work in a formal setting, otherwise I would probably would still have my robe on too. :-)

You look so elegant in your tea attire! Love the soft lace skirt! I'd love to wear long skirts but being so vertically challenged they are not flattering on my at all. But I can still pull off a flowing look of just below the knee or mid calf and have the feminine feel that you wear so elegantly. The costumes are awesome.
