This is week 5 of Gracious Hospital-i-Tea's Tea Blog-a-Thon. The topic this week is Dressed-to-a-Tea. We are supposed to talk about our favorite outfit to wear to tea or a fantasy tea outfit.I usually wear a tiered broomstick skirt with a lace blouse. I love long full skirts--they are so romantic. In fact, that is my attire for most outings... My 15-yr. old daughter rolls her eyes when I go shopping because I always come home with another lacey blouse to wear with the skirts I make.
This is a photo of me in my favorite lace skirt, lace-trimmed blouse and a linen jacket.
But, if I could have any outfit to wear to tea it would be one of these:

Karen, you look beautiful in your lace skirt and blouse and pretty linen jacket. You really are dressed to a 'tea' --- in classic romantic style. Let your daughter roll her eyes! Some day she will grow up to be JUST LIKE you! :)
ReplyDeleteI love your Victoria Bliss costumes as well -- very beautiful!

Your outfit is very becoming and feminine. I'd certainly enjoy being able to wear one of those Victorian dresses, but the waistline would be a problem. ;>
ReplyDeleteWow - all of those outfits are gorgeous - inclduing your lace skirt and shirt!
ReplyDeleteI think the Victorian outfits would be lovely to wear, tho I doubt I'd like the corset. :-)
What beautiful gowns! Thanks for sharing. Your lacey outfit is perfect for Afternoon Tea! Nancy
ReplyDeleteYour outfit is so appealing and softly elegant. Just perfect for a festive tea party.
ReplyDeleteYour outfit is beautiful. I love lace too. It has such a romantic feel. I also loved the victorian dresses.
ReplyDeleteSo lady like! I love the broomstick skirts they are so feminine. And yes it would be a marvelous period dress event! So beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThank you for your comments on my blog. We almost share the same daily habits. I too have 2 cups of coffee before switching to tea. The only difference is that I am a work in a formal setting, otherwise I would probably would still have my robe on too. :-)
ReplyDeleteThe gowns are so beautiful but your outfit is just as beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI love your outfit...the pretty colour, the lace...it makes a perfect outfit for an afternoon tea or anytime for that matter. :o)
the picture of you in your lace outfit is stunning, you must feel so pretty when you are wearing it!!
ReplyDeletekaren! That skirt is fantastic!
ReplyDeleteI live just south of Dallas in a town that is full of victorian homes..we are restoring one.
Great post. Your photo is lovely, the skirt is quite elegant. Enjoy your tea.
ReplyDeleteYou look so elegant in your tea attire! Love the soft lace skirt! I'd love to wear long skirts but being so vertically challenged they are not flattering on my at all. But I can still pull off a flowing look of just below the knee or mid calf and have the feminine feel that you wear so elegantly. The costumes are awesome.
ReplyDeleteI love your everyday outing look! I have a 22 year old daughter and she still rolls her eyes at my attire! LOL The dresses from the Victoria Event are fabulous, as is your website, I just spent 1/2 hour browsing!! Thanks for stopping by my blog. Pam
